The BEST fall dessert! I went apple picking and had so many apples I didn’t know what to do with. This dessert was such a big hit and the perfect way to use up those apples. I love this dessert on its own (fresh out of the oven is best) or with some vanilla ice cream on top!

Topping:
•1/2 cup rolled oats
•1/2 cup all purpose flour
•1/3 cup refined coconut oil (softened)
•1/2 cup brown sugar
•1/2 tsp baking powder
• 1/2 tsp cinnamon
Filling:
•4 large apples peeled and sliced
•1/4 cup maple syrup
•2 tbsp all purpose flour
•2 tbsp refined coconut oil (softened)
•1 tbsp lemon juice
•1 tbsp water
•1 tsp cinnamon
•1/4 tsp salt
Instructions:
•Preheat oven to 350F
•In a large bowl, place all ingredients needed to make the filling. Gently mix together until well combined and set aside
•In another large bowl, place the ingredients needed to make the topping together. Using your hands, mix the ingredients together until you get a crumbly consistency
•Place the apples in a 10 x 7 baking dish
•Bake for 40-50 mins (until golden brown)
•Let cool, enjoy!
