Chocolate Almond Butter Granola

This is an epic granola combo that makes for the perfect sweet topping to your yogurt bowl! It’s also delicious on its own or with some milk or milk alternative. It tastes just like a chocolate & pb cookie.

Cook time: 20-23 minutes

Total time: 50-53 minutes

Yield: ~15 servings

Ingredients:

•3 cups rolled oats

•1/2 cup canola oil/vegetable oil

•1/3 cup maple syrup

•2 tbsp chia seeds

•1 tsp vanilla extract

•1 tsp sugar

•1/2 tsp salt

•1/3 cup cocoa powder

•1/3 cup unsalted almond butter (or peanut butter)*

•Chocolate chips (optional)

*If almond butter/peanut butter is solid, melt in sauce pan until texture is runny

Instructions:

•Preheat oven to 350°F

•Line a baking sheet with parchment paper

•In a large mixing bowl combine all ingredients (except the optional chocolate chips)

•Mix all ingredients until well combined

•Pour mixture into baking sheet. Using the back of a spoon flatten granola and spread out into an even layer

•Bake granola for 20-23 minutes, turning baking sheet halfway through

•Take granola out of the oven and let cool for ~25 minutes. Add optional chocolate chips once cooled
